Where Are They Now?!!

The MNDP hockey academy prides itself on player development aligned with the Nordique’s culture, prep and/or national bound team play and promotion to their affiliated Junior team (NAHL).

In the last three years, MNDP 18U and 16U alumni advanced with: 21 NAHL tenders, 4 USHL player advancements, and 5 division 1 commits.

Our success didn’t just start with our Academy.  The predecessor of the Maine Nordiques was the ISS Kings independent team founded in 2013 before expanding as the Maine Nordiques in 2019.

In now typical fashion, the ISS King’s hockey concepts development model co-created with Nolan Howe led their 2002 birth-year team (which started their first year with just 7 kids and a top 30 rank) to becoming a top 10 team in just their second year.

They won the Chicago Bauer, Mississauga Border Battle and International Silversticks Tournaments in their 3rd year– earning a one year spot in the Hockey Hall of Fame for that honor.

Many now familiar names who spent two or more years with the ISS Kings are currently in D1 or  transitioning from the NAHL/USHL/ OHL to D1 or higher, including last year’s NHL first round, 13th pick overall.

We are proud to know that our hockey concepts development model played a significant role in their formative years.
