MNDP U18 Nords Take Game 1, of MEHA Playoffs, with High Offensive Showing

The Maine Nordiques U18 team had a very solid showing in game 1, of The MEHA playoffs, against The Maine Moose for the tier 1 U18 championship.

The first period saw the Nords score 3 goals; Jack Kurrle, who saw his name be called in the NAHL this past weekend, opened the scoring for The Nordiques with a great shot off the top of the crossbar and in the puck went. After that, another NAHL call up, Kadsen Johnson found the back of the net to make it 2-0 Nords. The Moose would respond but right after was a goal from Ryan Panico. 3-1 Nords to end period 1.

Nords Offensive

 

The 2nd period slowed down offensively for The Nordiques; as Moose goalie, Josh Girard, stood tall in net while seeing over 70 shots. Miles Harrington would get the lone tally in the period as he found the back, on a backdoor pass, from Jack Kurrle to make it 4-1 Nordiques; to end of the second period.

The 3rd period saw The Nordiques offense explode with 2 quick goals; from Ryan Panico and Anthony Galante. Easton Zueger would then fire a shot, that was tipped home by Ryan Panico. Kadsen Johnson would find the puck and fire it on net. The puck was then found and tipped home by Jack Stolicker. The Moose would get a response, as time was expiring on the power play, but it was too little too late.

The Nordiques would take game 1 of the 3 game series 8-2 and have the chance to win the MEHA U18 playoff tomoNords Scorerrow.
