The Maine Nordiques Development Program is beyond happy and proud for Easton Zueger who has made his decision to pursue his academics and Division 1 athletics at the U.S. Military Academy (Army-West Point). Co-Captain of the inaugural 18U Nordiques National bound team, Easton found his way as a FREE AGENT on a USHL roster, where he would remain for an entire rookie season. The South Dakota native had quite a few other opportunities knocking at his door, but this was what felt right.
“Easton, we can not believe how mature you handled this situation. You wanted Army as your life choice; not a hockey choice. You want to serve your people. Hearing you use words like legacy, sacrifice, commitment, and at-home… We cannot wait to see what’s in store for you when it is time to be a Black Knight.” – The MNDP Staff
Easton becomes the fifth Nordiques Academy player in the first two seasons earning the opportunity to advance to the Division 1 level. Congratulations Easton and the rest of the Zueger family, Joe, Kristen, and Izzie!
